In a second hand three quarter coat with
Fraying cuffs and hardly any lining over
A great white baggy linen girl’s shirt
That I wore for years tucked into those
Faded sky blue denim jeans thick belted
That eventually ripped whilst covering
Semi patterned lace up black sued shoes
Whose rubber soles split evenly along,
And because I bought into Eighties’ cool
I didn’t have any socks on and was cold.
