Knowing where your clothes are
And eating what you want
Are plus points of living on your own,
But against this is the laundry
And rotting fruit and veg
Getting in the way of living on your own.
You can drink more booze than usual
And smoke your eyeballs dry
And nobody can criticize, living on your own,
But then there’s the catted carpet
And tab end chasing crisis
Belittling your best attempts at living on your own.
Although it will be yours exclusively
And can be rented out
Creating new financial benefits of living on your own,
But then it will be useless,
And any gains rebounded,
As you’ll still need somewhere to live on your own.
So you agreed the wife was safer,
And didn’t look that bad,
Well not as bad as living on your own,
But then she kicked you out
And moved in a new lad,
Who was, well, living on his own.
